When and why did you start training for fighting? In 2016 I started training and doing my amateur fights. I turned pro in September 2017.  I started because I had been fired from a job and had no purpose in life. I was just training for a hobby, and that's when my coach started to put the idea of fighting to me.

What titles have you held? Shooto Brazil strawweight champion

Do you have any heroes? My coach became that for me.  He gave me this profession that I love today and showed me how good I am at it. I'm grateful to have him with me.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means reaching the top!  But just fighting is not my goal in life; since I started, I always thought about the title, about being the owner of it and dominant in the category in which I belonged.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was an attendant at a gas station
