When and why did you start training for fighting? I started when I was 13 years old, after watching a Kickboxing class in a Gym in Argentina. I have always practiced sports, and this one in particular caught my attention. That was when I started training.
What professional titles have you held? I won four MMA titles in Brazil: Nitrix - Sao Jose Superfight - Insano - Black Monster. AJJ world champion, All-Argentina first division.
Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines? Black belt in BJJ
What has been your toughest fight to date and why? A fight of improvement was against Leonardo Santos in the semifinal of The Ultimate Fighter, the last fight within the TV show. We were already very stressed in the fourth fight in a period of a month. And I broke my arm two minutes into the first round, but I continued fighting for my dream, I managed to go the three rounds and win the fight. Although I had multiple fractures in my radius due to continuing to fight, I stayed mentally strong and came out the winner. I was the only one not to lose a fight on TUF and I took my contract with UFC and bonus for the best fight of the season with Santos and also the bonus for the best knockout of the season
Who is your favorite fighter and why? Jose Aldo, without a doubt, is one of my favorites.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, Physical Education (incomplete)
What was your job before you started fighting? I did just about everything. I taught, worked in security, was a doorman, assistant cook, books salesman. Just about everything you can think of.
